  1. Testing Honda OEM 151R battery(bad) with Foxwell BT-715

This is a 2011 Honda CR-Z with a Honda OEM 151R battery, the 12v battery is about 6 months old, it’s not actually used to start the car as this car uses the high voltage hybrid battery to start, but the 12v is required to run all the electronics including the ECU, so it does have to provide some power, the 12v battery has completely died and I had to jump it a few times.

I will only be doing a battery test as this car does not have an alternator and the tool cannot test DC-DC converters.

So Foxwell BT715 shows that the battery is bad as we expected and it recommends a replacement. I will probably be getting a new one from Honda as it should be under warranty.
