2016 Porsche Macan Turbo Oil Service Reset, Foxwell NT510 or NT644?

Purpose: reset the oil service indicator on my 2016 Porsche Macan Turbo

 

Working Porsche scanners options:

Option 1. Foxwell NT510

Pros:

Available to add Porsche brand software as well as pay extra 4 car brands if your family have more cars or you change new cars in the near future.

Update: free for lifetime

Much cheaper, 155dollars

Cons:

comes with no Porsche software when the user receive the machine, but need to register member in www.foxwelltech.com, login and download Porsche software, the whole

Option 2. Foxwell NT644

Pros:

Perform Oil Service Reset on approx 40 makes as well as Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) on approx 30 makes.

No need to download car software, it’s plug and play.

Update: free for lifetime

 

Cons:

Expensive than Foxwell NT510 although much cheaper than Amazon, foxwelltool.com sales for 395 dollars

Guide:

1)Scroll with up and down arrow keys to highlight Oil Reset With One Button from the Oil Reset menu. An Information screen displays. Press the function key OK to continue or Cancel key to return to the Oil Reset menu

2)Follow on-screen instruction and send a command to reset oil service. A screen with “Success” message displays once the lamp has been reset. Press any key to return.

3)If the oil service reset failed, the following screen displays. Please follow on-screen instructions to troubleshoot it. If the problem still exists, please contact your local dealer for assistant.

To sum up:

Both Foxwell scanner for Porsche are good, good quality and good performance. Which one to have, it depends on how deep you want to go through and what car brand range you want to cover, usually DIY users choose Foxwell NT510 and technicians choose NT644.
